i had my baby the other day!…..labor story?
i woke up at 4:30 am having contractions so i waited it out til 7 am to be sure before waking my husband.
then we were driving to the hospital 30 minutes away and the car stalled 2 times lol
so we get there, and they didnt have a choice to preregister so we had to wait when my contractions were 2 minutes apart and do paper work.
then they check me and i was only dilated to 6 with them coming every 2 minutes very strong. then 20 minutes later they checked me again and i was dilated to 7
i wanted the epidural but they said i was dilating too rapidly so they refused. the babys heart rate started dropping too and the doctor finally showed about 20 minutes after that and checked and i was dilated 9-10.
she broke the water and put moniters on his head because his heart rate was dropping. then it was time to push finally and they made me push as fast and as hard as i could because the baby was having a hard time breathing.
he came out like 10-15 minutes after pushing blue and purple. he is 8 lbs 12 ounces, 20 1/2 inches long born august 9th at 9:08 am. he failed his hearing exam in one ear…so everyone please pray that hes fine and still can hear.
i was 38 weeks pregnant to the day
his name is Jonathon Clayton Jr.
yeah it was all natural, they couldnt give me nothing cuz i dilated too quickly and his heart rate was dropping.

Hey congratulations.
I know how scary it is that your baby fails the hearing test, my second child failed her hearing test. She is still partially deaf in one ear (she’s 3). As she can hear in the other ear she has developed normally (walking, talking etc) the only downside is that now her balance is not what it should be and she can often fall without warning. Having said that she ice skates better than me!! She also compensated for her lack of hearing with her other senses and is well above average for her age.
It is probably nothing to worry about, it could clear up soon and not be permanent anyway.
Hope that helps put your mind at ease a bit
Congratulations!
You didnt say what you named him?
aww i cant wait to experience all that. congrats and ill keep your lil boy in my prayers.
Awww congrats! I’m super happy for ya! Were you suprised you didn’t go all the way to 40 weeks? Is this your first child?
Congrats, he is in my prayers. Im due Nov 7th so I hope I don’t dilate as fast as you did, because I have an hour drive to my hospital.
Very good story. I will be praying for the health of your baby boy. So did I read this right, did you go completely natural? If your comfortable, could you embellish on your story? I would love to do it. My best friend is in the hospital right now, and she said the epidural is just heaven, but I still want to take the natural route, but it’s hard to think about the pain!
awe congrats
